Luke decided that Billy's birthday bash needed a theme so everyone jumped on the Scottish bandwagon. As luck would have it, we even managed to find ourselves an awesome little caddy for the golf event.

Funny Faces
Ian has an ever growing repetoire of faces he brings out as required for the various situations that he finds himself in.
Yes! mom and dad are going to be so happy with me!! I won my 10th ebay auction today!
Ah crap...now where are mom and dad taking me? I can't wait until they have to buy me my own plane ticket.
This square block WILL fit into the round hole if it's the last thing I do.

What the ^&$# do you want? Yeah, I know I have poop in my pants...and your point is???

Jeeves, be a dear and pass me a Kleenex? It seems my nose has sprung a leak.
First Steps
June 29th was the day Ian took his first steps. They were three smalls steps but he was plently pleased with his effort and the smile on his face said it all... I did it! We also made our first family trip to the strawberry field with grandpa steering Ian through the patch and feeding him strawberries.

Monkey Bidness
These are a few pictures of Ian hamming it up for the camera. It is quite a treat to witness Ian interacting with his surroundings either for this first time or with a knowing grin that he's done it before. He's been really good this week. He's eating like a champ, in good spirits, and sleeping through the night.

Easter
Easter has always been a special time around our house. With an in-house Easter bunny, it feels like Easter all year round but this year for the first time we had two Easter bunnies. At first the introduction did not go as planned and a few tears were shed but both little bunnies soon became fast friends. Only a few more months to go until next Easter...

Buddies
Seems like there is something in the water these days as most of our friends are popping out kids like its going out of style. Sarah, Brian and little Mathew live across the street from us in a Cityplace building. Erin's best friend Kristen visited from Squamish, BC last month with her little one, Kamille. Erin and Scott's daughter Lindsay was over for lunch last month too. Its funny how much difference a month can make when they're this young.

May Update
Ian's become quite the little monkey over the past two months. His personality is developing at an exponential rate and he seems to have new surprises for us on a weekly basis. He loves eating Cheerios, Mini-Go yogurt, and applesauce. He's a bit of a fussy eater too, not wanting to put the time into chewing up pieces of fruit. He also likes the taste and texture of socks... pretty sure that comes from mom's side of the family.

Panorama Ski Trip
We were visiting Ian's aunt Ade and uncle Billy and taking in a little skiing in BC. After a long day of skiing and napping we headed to the pub for a few beverages and snacks. Earlier in the day we got a nice picture of Mr. Ian hangin with Big Nic on the Panorama chair enjoying the fresh powder and checking out the pretty ladies. Ian had an appointment with Ade to discuss property prices and was blown away by the skyrocketing prices... in the end I think he decided not to buy. We were supposed to head back Thursday night but after 20cm of new snow I drew the long straw and got to make first tracks on more than one run while Erin hung out with Ian at Ade's place. However, all good things must come to an end and we flew home at the front of the plane thanks to an overbooked flight.

School Time
This week marked the beginning of Ian's scholastic career. Transition week has taught us many things that we never knew before. Apparently he likes to nap from 12-2pm, something neither of us has ever seen... ever. There are seven other kids in his class and he gets pushed around a little bit but his teachers are good about sticking up for him. Here are a few pictures from his class today. In the black and white picture, Ian's the one in the middle.
